Draft Interveiw

Thanks for joining us today Kate at “Listen Look Love it”, we are just so happy to have you here with us today. Has the reality of wining the Xfactor sunk in yet?
Thank you so much for having me at “Look Listen Love it” it means so much. I have read this magazine since I was about 13! Its my favourite magazine and no, I still can’t believe I'm the 2014 winning of the Xfactor!!

You have an absolutely amazing voice, the whole country agrees obviously because they all voted for you, where did your singing career all start?
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has voted for me in my factor journey. I appreciate every single vote and love you all for making my dreams come true. My dad plays piano so ever since I can remember I've been singing along with him, the first time I sang in front of a crowd was at my local pub for a bit of fun and ever since I've just dreamed of being a proper singing/writing pop artist.

You went through a lot in xfactor, you were in the bottom two at one stage but that didn't stop you fighting. In the whole experience what was your best part of xfactor?
Yes i was in the bottom two once and I can always remember my family saying in the past “if your in the bottom two once, you’ll never win it”. Haha well I've proved them wrong! Hmmm my best part would obviously be when I was announced the winner because it proves to all the readers that if you work hard enough dreams really do come true!

We hear you got on with nearly all the contestants in the show, who was your favourite?
All the contestants in factor this year was so lovely and loads deserve to become really successful and they made my experience even better. But my favourite just has to be Lauren Duthie, she's just so lovely to everyone and she’s a real joy to be around. The girls amazing and sings her heart out, she deserves success in my eyes.

Even though we at “Listen Look Love it” are massive fans of your talented voice. Can you explain for our readers what sort of artist you are?
Thank you so much hearing that your a fan is just amazing! hmm how would I describe myself as a artist. Im not very serious so my songs are cheerful and I try to write my songs on a experience in my life. Im a young pop artist who is energetic and wild. Although I have big plans in the future to expand my range.

You say you’ve got big plans for the future, could you give us a sneak peak?
Well Im not sure yet because I've only just started to practise but I'm going to try some country music because thats what I use to sing with my dad. But I'm not giving pop music up that will be my main style, just going to try a bit of country on the side.

You said you use to do country with your dad, are you going to be doing some songs with him?
Yes actually I have persuaded him to play the piano in my new country song I'm working on. Its no where near finished but its going to be awesome when its done.

Writing songs is a hard challenge! Rumours say the last song you sang on xfactor you wrote, is this true? If so how does it feel to know one of your own songs was so amazing that you won the whole show?
Yes I did use one of my own songs in the finals. It was a risk I'm willing to take because when I become a pop artist and get a number one single I want to be the real me and I just feel like if I didn't use my own songs it wouldn't be me. It just feels so unbelievable to think that so many people loved my song so much they voted for me and I won. I would just like to thank every single one of my fans again.

Thank you so much Kate Reynolds for coming to speak to us at “Listen Look Love it” today, its been a pleasure talking to you. You’ve been a great contestant and we wish you the best for the future!
Thank you for talking to me and again for all the votes- I still have a sneaky read through my sisters copy of “Look Listen Love it” every week and it will be a big thrill to see my name in the mag!
